CGYD has started a social responsibility project for the handicapped children which is called “Tangent Lives”. The introductory presentation was given by Sevgi Koşaner, a member child development psychologist specialized in working with the handicapped children on the 3rd of February,2007.
Within the project and as a subsegment of the project CGYD initiated  a volunteer book reading campaign for the blind children called “From the Voice of the Writer”.  Member writers read their books for the blind children at the Beyazıt Library where there is a special recording facility for the blind.  “From the Voice of the Writer “ campaign will continue until the end of the year.

CGYD organized the participation of twenty publishers to NAMBOOK-07 International Children’s Book Festival with more than 200 children’s books on May 1st, 2007.
